Dear Daisy...

Dear Daisy,

So much has happened in my life over the past few months, I thought I would write and tell you all about it. Please forgive me, Mom, for addressing you by your given name, but seeing as how you pinned me to the ground and bit me on the nose the last time I saw you, I figured those familial bonds were not terribly important to you.

This winter was so exciting. I got to see (and play in!) snow for the first time...and the second time...and the third time...

As a matter of fact, it got kind of tiring to hear, 'TEX! Quit tracking snow all over the house!'

You will also be delighted to hear that I have passed a number of developmental milestones: I chased my first bunny, I grew tall enough to counter surf, I got 'tutored,' and I ate my first penny :-D

But best of all, I am learning how to hold my water!

My people tell me 'Good boy!' and lavish love and treats on me every time I step off the porch and lift my leg half an inch or so. I do not even need to produce any urine for them to praise me.

I am glad they are not believers in outcome-based education!

Daisy, remember that bone I had the last time you were here? The big soup bone, with the gristle still on it? The one you were chewing on a bit when you thought no one was looking? I cannot seem to find it anywhere. If you see it in Leigha's luggage or around your apartment, will you please let me know?

Your boy,

Tex
